Mattupetty

Mattupetty Dam, near Munnar in Idukki district, is a masonry dam built in storage in the mountains of Kerala, India, to conserve water for hydroelectricity. It has been a key source of power, performance and other prey, such as the huge revenues for states. The large amount of water available at all times allows wild animals and birds to thrive.
